Author of "Disciplining the Carnivalesque: Chris Farley's Exotic
Dance"; "Money Talks: Folklore in the Public Sphere"; "Seinfeld's
Democratic Vistas"; "Keep Your Keys: Teaching, Democracy, and
Performance Art"; and "The Ivory Tower, Apathy, and the Art of
Citizenship." Current research focuses on the commodification of civil
rights within local tourist practices, and the relationship between
rhetorical theory and cultural critique.
