About Emergency Grants
Urgent research needs can sometimes fall outside our collaborative grants schedule. To accommodate such needs, SSRC program staff will accept requests for emergency grants via email to mediahub@ssrc.org . Such requests should be made initially in short form (1-2 pages), following the general criteria of the collaborative grants regarding purpose and conditions.
The request for support should explain, in particular, the reason for the urgency of the request and the needed outcome. Staff may then ask for a more detailed proposal, following the model, criteria, and budget limits associated with the large grants.
Final decisions will then be made by the Grants Committee.
